After completion of the first year, a dentist who wants to orient himself towards prosthodontics can register for the following program, Interdisciplinary Therapy. It’s the practical application of what was learned in the first year. The dentist presents to his/her colleagues the data, analysis and interpretation of different tests, the diagnosis and treatment plan. After approval of the treatment plan, he or she treats patients in his/her clinic and documents the evolution. The dentist must document and provide treatment for 10 cases. It is a year for consolidating what has been learned.
During this second year, the dentist can write a Master's thesis and defend it at the end of the year or the following year. However it is not obligatory to submit a Master's thesis to complete the second year.
After the first year, a dentist who wants to orient towards orthodontics can register for the next program offered by Professor Sato (2010), on the condition that the participant has a basic knowledge in Orthodontics (personal recommendation from Dr. Alain Landry).
